WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE???
I want to tell you guys a little story, and I hope you haven't eaten yet cause this one just might make you sick to your stomach!
In a time when child molestors, drug smugglers, rapists, gang bangers, embezzlers, human trafficers, wife beaters, child killers, & terrorists, etc, etc..... are being set free to go on their merry way to continue reeking havoc on society and law abiding citizens, we come to a story that some of you may have heard, and if so, you should be just as livid about it as I am!!!
It is happening in Texas.
A while back (Feb. 17, 2005), 2 U.S. Border Patrol Agents (Ignacio Ramos & Jose Compean) were chasing a Mexican drug smuggler who led them in a high speed pursuit on the U.S. side of the border.
The pursuit lasted a short time, and a stop light (or stop sign) was ran in the process by the criminal and the Border Patrol Agents. The Pursuit ended when the Officers shot the Mexican drug smuggler who managed to get away and back across the Mexican border. 743 pounds of pot was found in the smugglers van.
Okay, now you're probably thinking what's the big deal, they did their job, what's all the fuss right?
Well listen to this!!!
It seems that the Texas State District Attorney has decided to charge the 2 Border Patrol Agents instead of the Mexican drug smuggler!
YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT FOLKS!!!
And to add insult to injury, he has given the Mexican drug smuggler immunity so that he can testify AGAINST the 2 Border Patrol Agents!!!
What is it that the Mexican drug smuggler will be testifying to you ask???
Well it seems there is a little known, very obscure law, that says Border Patrol Agents may not #1- be involved in high speed pursuits, and #2- they may not run red lights (stop signs).
YES THAT'S RIGHT FOLKS!!!
It seems this dedicated United States Attorney Johnny Sutton is trying to throw the book at these 2 U.S. Border Patrol Agents (who were just trying to do their job) because they chased a suspect and actually followed him through a red light!!!
The District attorneys reasoning for this??....he says he has decided that he "needed" to protect the "civil rights" of the Mexican drug smuggler.
Oh and get this...The bastard is pushing for a 20 year prison term for the 2 Border Patrol Agents if they are convicted!!!!!
CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT SHIT!!!!
Now let me remind you all that both the speeding and the running of the red light SHOULD & COULD have been handled inter-departmentally as administrative offenses in which the agents could have received verbal or written warnings by their commanding officer.
Have you EVER heard of ANYONE going to jail for 20 years for speeding or running a red light????
And what of the Mexican drug smuggler you may ask....well it has been reported that he went right back to smuggling drugs across the border into the United States.
This story is just coming to light now, because the Border Patrol Agents are just now being arrested and humiliated, and having their good names dragged through the mud.
Now as in any good Bureaucracy, once you show how stupid they look they change their story..... and the day ofter this story hit the airwaves, YES you guessed it, the Texas District Attorney's office changed their story.
No, they are not dropping the charges, they rarely ever do that.
Nope, they are simply changing the reasons for why they are charging these 2 Border agents.
Now it is because the agents shot the drug smuggler....Oh, the poor baby!!!
And they are making it sound real good too with their fancy lawyer words.
Of course these are the same people that put that drug smuggler back out on the streets, so exactly how much credability do they REALLY have>?
And the credability of the the Drug smuggler???.... well.......he says he was unarmed and that the officers fired at him 15 times, for absolutely no reason at all, but only hit him once but then he managed to get away and limp back to Mexico.
Hummmm, that sounds a little fishy to me!!!
#1- have you EVER heard of an UNARMED drug smuggler??....
#2- you got 2 well trained officers, the wide open desert, nothing but scrub brush, and they fire at you 15 times and only hit you once??....
#3- then they just LET you get away and walk back to Mexico even though you're "unarmed".
Oh yeah, in one final twist to this story, the drug smuggler is now suing the U.S. Border Patrol Agency and the agents involved for $5 Million..... now who could have ever imagined that one!!!!
Anyway, if your as pissed as I am, maybe you would like to fire off an email to one or two people and tell em just what you think about all this.
We don't have enough Border Patrol Agents as it is, and now they want to take 2 of them and put them in prison for completely bogus reasons, which could very well cause other agents to quit in protest.
Meanwhile we have more than enough Drug smugglers and yet the District Attorneys office seems to think there is a storage and is seeing to it that we are kept well supplied!
