MUSLIM FATHER PLEADS GUILTY TO RAPING DAUGHTERS!!!
A Muslim man in Singapore was accused of raping six of his daughters.
He has 66 offspring, as a result of his exploitation of a Muslim marriage custom called Mut'ah, which is described as "marriage for pleasure".
The practice of Mut'ah marriage is primarily a Shiite custom, which is legal in Iran and some other Muslim countries.
Effectively, it means that a man who fancies a woman sets up a short term contract with her, so that he can have sex for a short period, without being guilty of fornication or adultery.
Mizyah marriage is similar, but does not have a fixed "end of contract". So that if he likes the woman, he can continue in marriage.
The 45 year old man, with greying hair and spectacles, pleaded guilty to nine charges of rape and aggravated rape, with a further 34 cases asked to be "taken into consideration".
Well-versed in Islamic history and is fluent in Arabic, the man used the Koran to justify the incest.
The Straits Times in Malaysia stated that the man had even convinced some of his mut'ah wives that he had ownership over his daughters, which Islamically entitled him to have sex with them.
His defense lawyers claimed that the man (who cannot be named to protect the identities of his victims) believed that by "satisfying" his daughter's sexual needs, they would be less likely to have pre-marital sex with boys.
Between December 2003 and June 2005, he raped five of his daughters, with the help of some of his wives. The girls were aged between 12 years and 15 years at the time their father raped them. Two went on to get pregnant, and had abortions.
Yesterday, deputy public prosecutor Eugene Lee told the court: "The incidents of abuse were so numerous that they (the daughters) were hard-pressed to keep count, much less remember the exact specifics of each incident".
Lee told the court that the man would send one of his wives to inform a daughter that she should go to her father's bedroom. He had sex with his daughters, even when they cried out in pain. The eldest of the raped daughters went to the police on June 24, 2005. The next day, the man was arrested.
The girls are now in the care of Singapore's Ministry of Community Development. The man currently has 10 wives - four of them legally married to him under Islamic practice, and the other six as a result of Islamic "mut'ah" marriage. Neither form of polygamy is recognised by Singaporean law.
Justice Tay Yong Kwang yesterday set next Tuesday as the date for sentencing. In the laws of the city-state of Singapore, rape carries a maximum penalty of 20 years' imprisonment, with caning. The penalty for aggravated rape is eight years in prison, and 12 strokes of the cane.
The prosecution would not say whether the wives who assisted in the rape of the girls would be prosecuted also.
The Muslim population of Singapore is 15% of the total demographic.
