UAE PORT DEAL JUST THE TIP OF THE ICEBURG

**CHINESE companies operate over 1/2 of the ports around Los Angeles.
**AUSTRALIAN companies own......
1. the Detroit Windsor tunnel
2. The Chicago skyway bridge
3. A busy expressway into Washington
**A KUWAITI company owns the U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters building.
**CANADIAN companies operate some of our trains.
**MEXICAN companies operate some of our pipe lines.
**DUTCH & GERMAN companies purify some of our water.
**70 - 80% of ALL U.S. ports are operated by foreign compnaies.
And this is just a very, very few of the things that foreign companies own and / or operate here in the U.S......and guess what......NONE of our leaders have had any problems with any of this!! So don't be fooled, the ONLY reason they gave a shit about this UAE port deal is because WE THE PEOPLE bitched about it en mass, and they know elections are coming up!!!!

BUT DON'T CELEBRATE KILLING THE UAE PORT DEAL YET!!
The UAE port deal is not exactly dead in the water!
According to lawmakers, the port deal could still go thru with an Arab company operating it IF a U.S. firm can not be found!!!!
Congress will closely watch a Dubai-owned company to be sure it transfers its U.S. port operations to an American company, Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist said Sunday.
But Frist, R-Tenn., acknowledged that if an American buyer is not found, and the Bush administration determines there are no security risks, a deal for DP World to manage and operate major U.S. ports still could go through.
DP World said the divestiture was "based on an understanding that DP World will not suffer economic loss." Some analysts have suggested finding a U.S. buyer willing to pay the $700 million that DP World wants might be difficult.............
