IRAN PUTS FOOT IN MOUTH........AGAIN!!!!
How we duped the West, by Iran's nuclear negotiator
The man who for two years led Iran's nuclear negotiations has laid out in unprecedented detail how the regime took advantage of talks with Britain, France and Germany (the EU3) to forge ahead with its secret atomic program.
In a speech to a closed meeting of leading Islamic clerics and academics, Hassan Rowhani, who headed talks with the so-called EU3 until last year, revealed how Tehran played for time and tried to dupe the West after its secret nuclear program was uncovered by the Iranian opposition in 2002.
He boasted that while talks were taking place in Tehran, Iran was able to complete the installation of equipment for conversion of yellowcake (a key stage in the nuclear fuel process) at its Isfahan plant but at the same time convince European diplomats that nothing was afoot.
"From the outset, the Americans kept telling the Europeans, 'The Iranians are lying and deceiving you and they have not told you everything.' The Europeans used to respond, 'We trust them'," he said.
I wonder what all the secrecy is about, I mean it's only for electricity right??

And don't forget about this:
TEHRAN, December 14, 2005:
One of Irans most influential ruling clerics recently called on the Muslim states to use nuclear weapons against Israel, assuring them that while such an attack would completely annihilate Israel, it would cost the muslim world "damages only".
Ayatollah Ali Akbar Hashemi-Rafsanjani told the crowd at the traditional Friday prayers in Tehran.
"If a day comes when the world of Islam is duly equipped with the arms Israel now has in it's possession, the strategy of colonialism would face a stalemate because application of an atomic bomb would not leave any thing left in Israel but the same thing would just produce some damages in the Muslim world".
Analysts said that not only is Mr. Hashemi-Rafsanjanis speech the strongest against Israel, but also this is the first time that a prominent leader of the Islamic Republic openly suggests the use of a nuclear weapon against the Jewish State.
"It seems that Mr. Hashemi-Rafsanjani is forgetting that due to the present intertwinement of Israel and Palestine, the destruction of the Jewish State would also mean the mass killing of entire Palestinian population as well", observed one Iranian commentator.
Oh details, details we can not be bothered with the little details!!

A recent poll conducted by Radio Free Europe found the following:
QUESTION: The UN Security Council is now set to debate Iran's nuclear program. What do you think?
This controversy shows that mechanisms for peacefully resolving serious international disputes are able to function effectively.
4 %
It will not be possible for the UN Security Council to address this conflict effectively because the world's nuclear powers have not done enough to meet their obligations under the Non-Proliferation Treaty.
27 %
If the Security Council is united and adopts a serious resolution of incentives and sanctions, it should be able to force Tehran to negotiate a compromise.
13 %
It is unlikely that the Security Council will be able to agree on a sufficiently clear and forceful resolution to contribute to solving the dispute.
