Well I guess we all missed the memo that said Iran is now running Iraq, but I guess they are since the Iranian Foreign minister has now demanded that British troops leave Basra Iraq IMMEDIATELY!!! .
"We believe that the presence of British forces in Basra has destabilized security in this city and has had some negative effects in the form of threats against southern Iran recently," Foreign Minister Manushehr Mottaki said during a visit to Beirut, Lebanon. He added...."The Islamic Republic of Iran demands an immediate withdrawal of British forces from Basra".
British Prime Minister Tony Blair rejected the demand and accused Iran of trying to divert attention from other issues, presumably its nuclear program.
Some 8,000 British troops in Iraq are based in Basra, which is located about 20 miles west of the Iranian border.
A Basra city spokesman said the departure of foreign troops "is not in Iraq's interest now" because of the security situation.

In Turkey, the exiled political leader of Hamas said Friday that the world has the wrong image of the Islamic militant group and he urged the international community to stop viewing it through the eyes of Israel.
He said..."We believe that most of the leaders in Europe, in the West, have a wrong image about Hamas, because this image doesn't reflect us. It reflects how some people, especially Israel, see Hamas,"
He added...."We want the world, and especially the countries in the West, to understand us, to understand Hamas well, to understand the will of the Palestinian people, the national goals of Hamas and the Palestinian people.".
***Yes, they're lovable fellows. Just ignore all those murders and keep the money flowing.

OUTRAGIOUS CARTOON WHINING ALERT!!!.....
According to Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Conference, Publishing twelve cartoons of Muhammad in a newspaper is equivalent to murdering 3,000 unsuspecting office workers as they went about their business on a sunny September morning.
"The publication of cartoons ridiculing the Prophet Mohammed has had the effect of the September 11 attacks on the Islamic world. Muslims are offended by the cartoons..." he told High Representative of the Common Foreign and Security Policy of the European Union (EU) Javier Solana, who is currently on tour in the Middle East.
Yeah, I can see the similarites............NOT!!!

OUR DAYS ARE NUMBERED!!!.....
So far, the violent riots that have erupted throughout the Muslim world over the Mohammed cartoons have not been repeated here in the U.S. But yesterday in New York City, one radical Islamic group was preaching a message that is anything but peaceful.
It wasn't in Pakistan or Gaza. It was on Manhattan's east side. The group calls itself the "Islamic Thinker's Society" (ITS, for short).
The purpose of the demonstration was to condemn the now infamous cartoons. But there was another message as well: that Islam will one day dominate the world. One ITS member said, "We are here to tell you that there is nothing you can do--and that your days are numbered...all of you who disbelieve: speak good, or Allah will silence you".
The protest began in front of the Danish Consulate. ITS members stomped on Danish flags and warned Denmark that it would suffer "Allah's wrath".
The group then moved to the German Consulate, where they trampled on German and Israeli flags--and called non-Muslims "scum". All of this took place under the watchful eye of the NYPD.
"Some people have evolved and matured and become civilized human beings, but they obviously haven't. And unfortunately we're supporting them and protecting them, too", one NYC resident said.
ITS members declined to be interviewed, but off camera, their leader told a CBN News reporter that the group consists of mostly college students who live in New York City.

SHARIA SAYS NUKES ARE OK!!!.....
On February 16, 2006, the reformist Internet daily Rooz reported for the first time that extremist clerics from Qom had issued what the daily called "a new fatwa", which states that "the shari'a does not forbid the use of nuclear weapons".
The religious leadership of the Islamic Republic, which has until now regarded the use of nuclear weapons as opposed to the Shari'a, and has repeated this point again and again, has so far kept silent about this new edict. In spite of the fact that, in the last few weeks, some of the senior leaders of the Islamic Republic have tried to reduce the pressure exerted by the radical conservatives, it seems the radicals nevertheless have complete control over the political arena.
Mohsen Gharavian, a disciple of Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi (who is Iranian President Ahmadinejad's spiritual mentor), and spiritual leader of the ultra-conservatives, now says the use of nuclear weapons is ok in the eyes of the Sharia as a "counter measure", and adds..... "in terms of the shari’a, it all depends on the goal"..... It doesn't stipulate as a counter-measure to what.
***So, could it be used as a "counter-measure" to a nuclear strike, or any military strike? Blasphemous cartoons? Looking at them wrong?
