HAMAS VS. DEMOCRACY!!!!

OK IN THIS CORNER THE US GOVERNMENT......

It seems the US congress is moving closer to banning finacial aid & restricting ties with a Hamas-led Palestinian Authority. The house of Representatives approved a "non-binding" resolution on this issue, 418 to 1, on Wednesday (Feb.15). The senate already passed it by a unanimous vote on Feb 1.
Although this resolution is non-binding, the support it enjoyed in both chambers can serve as an indication to the way members of Congress will vote when the binding bill is brought before them.

***Well I must say that it gives me great releif to know that my govt. is at least THINKING about keeping its own policy about NOT dealing with terrorists organizations!!!

Apart from stopping direct aide to the PA, if it is led by Hamas (which it IS), the bill also restricts aid to non-governmental groups in the PA territories, and limits ties with Palis affiliated with a Hamas government. It would also significantly limit, if not altogether prevent, the ability of the executive branch (Pres. Bush) to bypass these restrictions in cases he sees as relating to the national interest.

As a side note......The present Pali Authority (Fatah) has agreed to give back to the US $50 million in aid money that the US fears would be used by Hamas when they officially take office.

MEANWHILE IN THE OTHER CORNER ~ HAMAS......

Hamas wants to be taken OFF the US terror list. On Thursday (Feb. 16) A senior Hamas official called on the United States to remove the militant Islamic group from Washington's list of terrorist organizations and to open a dialogue "without preconditions" of course.
Moussa Abu Marzook, deputy head of Hamas' political bureau, says that the US should deal with Hamas "as it is, and later there could be a dialogue...but there should be no preconditions."

At the same time Abu Marzouk described as "absolutely unacceptable" Israel's call for Hamas to start an unconditional dialogue with the Jewish state, saying "Hamas...was chosen by the Palestinian people...this is democracy".

***So as we can see Hamas wants the US to deal with no preconditions, but they themselves can have all the preconditions they want towards Isreal!!!

Oh and Hamas still wants our money by the way. I mean we may be the "great satan" but our money is still pretty fucking ok ain't it.

On Feb. 15....The "TERROR" group Hamas released video tapes of 2 "martyrs" as they prepared to blow themselves up for allah!!!

Here is what those tapes contained:

Well I don't know about you, but I think these guys (Hamas) are totally serious about adjusting to a democratic role in the world.......NOT!!!!!
