AMNESTY FOR ILLEGALS!!!
DOES IT WORK???
Well lets see, we have already tried it once, so we have a model from which to grade its successfulness!!!
In 1986, there were an estimated 3 million illegal aliens living in the United States. At that time an amnesty program was initiated in an effort to bring illegals out of the shadows and "onto the right side of the law"!!
Many of those who had an opportunity to apply for amnesty then choose not to, even though it was made clear that even if turned down for amnesty the info. collected would not be used to deport them!!
Now fast forward to 2005.....Again we are talking about initiating an amnesty program.
Today we have an estimated 20 million illegals in the United States. And again the amnesty program is being touted as a way to bring these illegals out of the shadows and "onto the right side of the law"!!
The 1986 amnesty program was clearly a huge failure!!!!
So why is it that we know think it will work now???
We have almost 7x's more illegals here now then we did in 1986!!
Another thing is....That the meer mention of the word "amnesty" has proven to coincide with a flood of illegal immigration!!
So even mentioning the word is harming us.
So how is it that the "powers that be" think an actual program will help???
